(#76) "Old Rogers house" in Silverton, with Silver Gulch in background.
Rogers, as I recall, was priest at Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Everett and developed a camping cabin for young people on Benson Creek upstream from Verlot in the early 1930s.
Caption states that Ed and Enid Nordlund bought the house. Enid poked a broom through the holes where they leaked while Ed replaced the shingles. Located on the west side of Whitton Avenue south of the river.
In the 1960s this was painted dark red and had a fairly large yard.
Owned by Jim Olson until about 2005, now owned by Rob and Melody Rhode, who have restored it.
